Beautiful alpaca yarn from our small family run business here in the heart of the Cotswolds in the UK.

My husband shears the alpacas and I carefully hand select the finest and best quality fleeces which are sent to a mill. All the dyeing with natural dyes is done by hand by myself. My husband and I with our two sons care for our herd of 45 alpacas, and love it.

We live as simply as possible and want to bring you sustainable, ecofriendly and beautiful yarn. Double knit yarn, DK, worsted weight 50g skeins. 115 Yards (approx) 100% British alpaca Alpaca is as soft as cashmere and warmer then wool it is also hypoallergenic.

I can’t guarantee matching colours in future batches, each dye bath is unique and individual and although I can repeat the process the colour is affected by water quality and time of harvesting plants. However this is the charm of natural plant dyes and all colours will be beautiful together and very similar.

Naturally dyed colours are warm, soft and beautiful and each colour compliments every other, no clashes. I love to use indigo, weld, madder, logwood amongst others.

Recommended needle size 3.5-4.5mm (U.S 4-7) 22 sts x 30 rows Stocking stitch 10cm / 4inch square I used 4mm (U.S 6) knitting needles for my tension square.
